Inpatient Rehab is a 16-bed specialty unit. While the population served includes less acute patients who are working with various therapy disciplines, the nursing staff is also skilled and experienced in providing acute med/surg care when needed. The team is committed to increasing patient independence while promoting safety. Patients often compliment the positive and friendly attitudes of staff.

*How you’ll contribute*
*A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:*
· Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
· Documents patient care given.
· Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
· Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
· Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
· Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
· Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

*What we’re looking for*
**
Applicants should have a state of Michigan RN license and possess an associate degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor’s degree preferred).
Additional requirements include:
· Basic Life SupportHealth Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
