Overview
BH Staff Nurse is responsible for the nursing care of patients as team leader, as well as the interpretation and implementation of physician-directed care. Ensures the needs of patients are meet. Consults with family members and other members of the healthcare team. May assume charge nurse duties when adequately prepared.
Reports to: Behavioral Health Director

Required Education:
□ High school diploma or equivalent □ Preferred □ Required
□ Two years of college □ Preferred □ Required
X Associate’s degree □ Preferred X Required
Bachelor’s degree □ Preferred □ Required
Master’s degree □ Preferred Required
□ Doctoral degree □ Preferred □ Required
Other: Minimum 3 years in experience providing care in mental health and/or substance abuse. Supervisory experience required.

Valid NC RN License

Handle with Care completed within 90 days of hire
