Physical Therapist

This position includes a*$20,000 Sign-on Bonus*for a twenty-four-month full-time commitment

LAMC is also offering a*housing allowance of $1,000*, grossed up, for twelve months for a new hire who relocates

*Schedule:*this is a rare opportunity to join a team of highly experienced Physical Therapists who have tremendous autonomy with their practice and schedules and make decisions collaboratively. It will primarily work Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday, but no nights and no call! This is primarily an ortho role with a mix of inpatient and outpatient cases.

*How you’ll contribute*

A Physical Therapist (PT) who excels in this role:

* Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient’s condition.
* Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
* Plans, prepares, and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
* Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
* Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.
* Administers treatment involving application of physical agents, using equipment, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines.
* Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommends modifications.
* Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.

*What we’re looking for*

Applicants should have a current NM Physical Therapist license and possess a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or related field with a master’s degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

* *Certifications:*Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire. New hires will have ninety (90) days from date of hire to obtain American Heart Association certifications. Notwithstanding this grace period for obtaining American Heart Association certifications, employees are not excused from being current in all existing certifications that are required for their position as outlined in the job description.
